Dr Kerry Osborne-Smith is the principal and resident specialist in Prosthodontics at Smiles Better.
Kerry qualified from Guy’s Hospital (BDS) in 1988 and was awarded a commission in the Royal Army Dental Corps. After six years of general dental practice she returned to University to do a Master’s Degree in Fixed Prosthodontics (complex crowns and bridgework).
Kerry went on to The Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and achieved a Membership (MRD) and a Fellowship (FDS) in Dental Surgery – the highest accolade in dentistry. She is registered on the General Dental Council’s list of specialists in Prosthodontics and has published numerous papers.
Kerry also now places implants, as well as restoring them, after successfully completing her training in Sweden followed by monthly training modules in Birmingham with Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, Dr Dominic Hassall.
Kerry opened Smiles Better in April 2006 after being an associate at other practices for many years. The building was initially a double glazing shop before Kerry had it changed into a 4 surgery private dental practice and the business has rapidly grown and matured since then and is now a busy, thriving dental practice, of which we are all very proud.
Denise started her dental career studying at The Royal London Hospital in 1989. She graduated Bachelor of Dentistry with Honours in 1993 and was offered one of the coveted House Surgical Posts at The Royal London Hospital, which she accepted.
She moved to Norfolk in 2006 and has worked in Private practice as a Specialist Periodontist since. As one of a handful of Periodontists in East Anglia to be on the Specialist Register she has been certainly been kept busy.
Denise is happy to take self referrals or referrals from GDPs.
Rebecca qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 1997 and moved to the area and joined the Smiles Better Dental team in May 2008.
Rebecca likes to work in a relaxed environment to make patients feel welcome and put them at ease whilst striving to provide the highest quality of dental care.
Rebecca is also now a registered Inman practitioner (private orthodontics) and provides this service at Smiles Better.
Luke qualified from Kings College London in 2003 and whilst being based in Norfolk for most of that time , has taken up positions as a clinical teacher at Guy’s Kings & St Thomas’s hospital as well as James Cook University in Queensland Australia.
Luke enjoys all aspects of clinical work with particular emphasis on advanced aesthetics, functional orthodontics and neuromuscular dentistry.
Luke continues to learn and grow throughout his career, not restricting himself only to developments here in the UK but further afield in the United States and Australia.
Nike has recently joined the practice following her move from Devon.
Nike graduated with Honours from Queen Mary University, Barts and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2010. She was also awarded the University of London Gold Medal for dentistry, which is competed for annually by the top 4% of all London dental graduates. Nike also holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Kings College London, which she received in 2006.
Nike completed her Vocational Training year in London and went on to work as a General Dental Practitioner at private dental practices in Exeter and Lyme Regis.
Nike has sought to continually improve her knowledge and skills and has developed a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology from the University of Bristol in 2014.
Dr Bruno Soares – LMD
Bruno qualified as a dentist in Portugal in 2006 and has been working in Norfolk since 2007. Bruno has a special interest in cosmetic treatments and orthodontics. He has completed a post graduation in orthodontics in 2009 and is also a certified Invisalign Provider (clear braces) since 2013 both in England and Portugal.
Bruno regularly studies at post graduate course and seminars to keep up to date with all aspects of modern dentistry, helping his patients achieve a healthy, confident smile in a clam environment.
Jane qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital in London and has since worked in teaching hospitals (the Eastman Dental Institute, London and Addenbrookes, Cambridge) as well as general practice including Harley Street and, at the time, the country’s only private children’s practice.
Jane is an active member and past Chairman of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (B.S.D.H.T) which promotes and organises post graduate education. She enjoys working in family practice and is recognised for her ability to care for nervous patients.
Caroline started with us in Autumn 2008 and is working with us on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Caroline trained and qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at Sheffield University and is a member of The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT).
Caroline continues to broaden and update her knowledge and skills with post graduate courses in her field to aid her and her patients in the practice. Caroline also provides an in-surgery and home whitening service at the practice.
Hannah joined the practice in September 2014 as a qualified dental nurse, holding the National Diploma in Dental Nursing. In this time she has been promoted to Senior Dental Nurse, and more recently, Practice Manager. Hannah very much enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and has taken courses in Impression taking, Fluoride Application, Suture Removal and has also recently qualified in Dental Radiography. Hannah is also the lead Implant nurse, assisting with all implant stages as well as ‘teeth in a day’. Hannah now splits her time between nursing with Kerry Osborne-Smith, and her administration duties required for the day to day management of the practice.
Jo joined the practice in 2013 as a Trainee Dental nurse and qualified for her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing the following year. Jo enjoys all aspects of nursing, however is also extremely efficient on our reception desk and thoroughly enjoys dealing with patient queries and making them feel welcome. Aside from this, Jo is also our Implant Co-ordinator so works alongside Dr Kerry Osborne-Smith and her nurse Hannah Youngs on all implant cases, to make sure each patient gets the best quality care.
Annabel is one of our full time members of staff, working alongside Nike Goodluck. Annabel is enjoying expanding her knowledge and skill set here at Smiles Better and is committed to expanding her professional development.
Nikki has been with Smiles Better since Aug 2015. Nikki qualified as a dental nurse with a National Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2014. Since then she has been keen to grow her skills as a nurse and has undertaken courses in impression taking, whitening and suture removal and is also planning on gaining her certificate in Oral Hygiene Instruction. Nikki enjoys working alongside Luke and being a part the orthodontic treatment which he carries out. Nikki has fitted in alongside our current team quickly and is enjoying learning alongside the longer standing members of staff.
Chloe is the newest member of the team at Smiles Better and has been working alongside Rebecca Patterson since February 2016. Chloe has recently qualified at the Manchester Dental Hospital and hopes to expand her dental knowledge at the practice.

Jade joined the Smiles Better team in June 2015 working alongside Kerry Osborne Smith and has already made an impact with us and also the patients. Jade is currently studying towards her dental nurse qualification; she is enjoying all the different aspects of dentistry and is looking forward to becoming a qualified dental nurse. Once qualified her aim is to gain qualifications in Implant Nursing, Oral Hygiene and Radiography.
